CALL VC (Virtual Classroom) is the online face to face instruction offered by CALL. We connect with students through Skype or an educational platform called Adobe Connect. This provides a great opportunity for language learning in an interactive learning environment. You will be sent a link to enter the online Connect CALL classroom.
CALL VC follows the same curriculum as the residential program, allowing students to study at any level (Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced) from the convenience of an internet-connected computer. We also offer special lessons called Survival Spanish for those who would like to learn some of the most important phrases and verbs needed for traveling in a Spanish-speaking country before an upcoming trip. These 10 hours of lessons are a great way to get started with Spanish language learning.
On the information form, you may indicate the dates and times that work best for you (list as many times as possible) and CALL will do everything we can to meet your schedule. An email will be sent to verify the dates and times, along with payment information. Payment must be made before classes begin. Minimum Hours: Students in the CALL VC program take a minimum of 2 hours per week (normally in a two-hour session) and minimum of 8 hours per month. Prior to your first lesson, we will send you a placement test to verify your level of Spanish learning.
Changes to the scheduled classes must be made by Friday at noon the week before the classes are scheduled. Please know that once the professors are contracted, payment is required. No cancellations are accepted after Friday at noon for the following week’s schedule.
